04 - 10 - 2012 Cong. Marino recovering after surgical removal of tumors
(DI) US Rep. Tom Marino underwent surgery yesterday to remove small tumors on his lone kidney, & doctors said the procedure went as planned. Marino, announced last week that he had received word he need the surgery & was going to undergo the operation at the Cleveland Clinic in OH. Marino is expected to make a full recovery, & Marinoâs chief of staff said the congressman will resume a full schedule after a brief recovery period. Marino was diagnosed with cancer while serving as Lycoming Co. DA in 1999, & half of his left kidney was removed. The cancer returned in 2009, & doctors at the Cleveland Clinic removed the rest of that kidney.
