03 - 08 - 2012 Police shoot-out victim to be evaluated for possible trial
(LS) The defense attorney for 31-y/o Brian Janson said a doctor will perform a psychological evaluation on his client to determine if he is able to stand trial. Janson was shot several times by state police in a confrontation after police responded to a domestic incident in Aug., 2010 that ended with Janson aiming a gun a officers. During the domestic dispute, Janson stole 2 trucks trying to flee officers. Janson suffered brain damage after the shoot-out & his lawyer says he has "little or no understanding of the events in question."
