03 - 02 - 2012 J.-Co. Official cleared of harassment charges
(LS) Following a summary trial yesterday in Mifflintown, SEnior Magisterial District Judge Peter Howell found no sufficient evidence to convict Juniata Co. Councilman, Bob Reynolds, of harassment. The case started over the continuing effort to erect a Civil War memorial on the county courthouse lawn where Reynolds confronted Donald Husler, a supporter of the monument. Hustler testified that Reynolds "slammed" another supporter in the chest with 2 fingers & she felt he was going to attack her. This incident happened before Reynolds was sworn in as Commissioner.
