11 - 09 - 2011 District Attorney upset: Voters Dump Snook for Molek
(LS) As the saying goes, "all politics is local". That proved resoundingly true yesterday as voters in Mifflin Co. elected a change in the District Attorney's office. Dave Molek, a Republican running on a Democratic ticket, unseated the 18-yr. incumbent, Steve Snook, after a grassroots campaign. Molek won by a margin of just over 1,000 votes, according to the unofficial tally. Molek says he was "drafted" to run by the Concerned Friends of Mifflin Co. PAC, winning a write-in campaign in the May primaries.
