(CDT) Maksim Illarionov, the alleged mastermind behind a sometimes violent spree of Centre Co. burglaries & robberies in 2009 & 2010, was sentenced yesterday to 15-30 yrs. in state prison for 3 counts of illegally possessing firearms as a convicted felon. Judge Bradley Lunsford imposed the maximum sentence of 5-10 yrs. on each charge, calling Illarionov “a dangerous person” who lacks a “moral compass.” Lunsford told Illarionov, “As opposed to showing any sense of remorse for these actions ... you showed arrogance and contempt to this court system, and more important, to this community”. The 22-y/o Illarionov, will get credit for 366 days he’s already spent in the county jail awaiting trials, knocking a year off the 15-yr. minimum.
