04 - 19 - 2011 Former private hospital-turned-apartment building gutted by fire
(DI) A fire destroyed a 3-unit rental property, once a private hospital, yesterday in McClure. Emergency crews were called to the burning building on Specht St. just after 5:45am & remained at the scene for nearly 6 hours. McClure Fire Chief Keith Martin said only the bottom story of the old structure was occupied at the time. Those living there were home, he said, but got out safely.
