02 - 17 - 2011 Juniata Valley to have a meltdown before another cold snap
(DI) A dramatic warm-up is slated to grip much of the Juniata River valley, bringing record warm temperatures tomorrow, according to meteorologists yesterday. Todayâs high is expected to be in the mid 50s with the all-time record being 59 degrees back in 1990. Tomorrowâs high could break the all-time high temperature set in 1938. Tomorrow, temperatures are predicted to rise to near-record levels in Philadelphia, which has a record of 69 degrees set in 1991, & Washington, DC, which has a 73-degree record set in 1981. By Monday however, the region will return to colder temperatures.
