07 - 09 - 2010 Furloughed MCRP officer recalled after fellow officer resigns
(LS) Last night in Yeagertown, the board of directors of the MIffin Co. Regional Police Dept. accepted the resignation of St. Ryan French. That opened an opportunity for a recall of a fellow officer who was furloughed due to budget cuts over the past year. French's resignation was regretfully accepted with the board wishing the officer good luck in his future. This will be the 2nd officer that has been recalled with the first coming after a grant was procured to help with the officer's salary. The board also went over legal informational matters with attorneys from Lewistown Borough & Bratton Twp. who will be dissolving ties with the MCRPD starting next year.
