03 - 24 - 2010 Traffic restrictions return to Port Royal bridge
The lane restriction on the Rt. 75, Port Royal Bridge project will return on tomorrow as project activity resumes for the 2010 construction season. Tomorrow will bring the return of the temporary signal & the 10-ft. width restriction in the work zone. The signal will require drivers to take turns crossing the bridge. Tomorrow, PennDOT will also re-activate the truck detour & direct trucks to use US 522, 22 & 322 from the PA Turnpike. The temporary signal, lane restriction, work zone width restriction & truck detour will all be in place until August. The job is financed with federal funds from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act & is part of PennDOTâs more than $66 million investment of federal economic recovery funds being spent on 17 transportation projects across the 9 counties of District 2.
