[LS] - The accounting firm of Boyer & Ritter was approved by the Juniata Co. Commissioners to perform audit services for the county. During the brief business meeting last night, the commissioners voted for the firm to perform a county-wide audit, at a cost not to exceed $39,580, for the fiscal year. This also includes a single audit by the Department of Public Welfare at a cost not to exceed $5,100 and a compliance audit in accordance with the Public Safety Emergency Act at a cost not to exceed $4,950. This is a required audit for the county's 911 agent fund & 911 wireless fund that ocurrs once every 3 years, according to the commission Chairman Jeffrey Zimmerman.
