09 - 19 - 2013 Weekend multi-cultural festival will help Mifflintown park
[LS] - Cultures from around the area will join together this weekend in an effort to raise money for the development of Cedar Springs Community Park. The 2013 Multi-Cultural Festival is set to be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the park. Attractions will include Latin and American food, art, live music, kids' games, health screenings, face painting, a bounce castle and a petting zoo. All proceeds will be used to develop and maintain sports fields and courts, walking trails and restrooms at the park, he said. The festival is held annually on the third Saturday of September. In the past, it was held in downtown Mifflintown, Flores said. This is the first year the festival will be held at the park.
