09 - 13 - 2013 Mifflin Co. pair jailed after drunken incidents at restaurants
LEWISTOWN - Two people are in Mifflin County Correctional Facility after causing disturbances Wednesday while intoxicated at two different Lewistown-area McDonald's restaurants. Police were called to the McDonald's on Electric Avenue at 10:30 pm for a disturbance involving Michael Robinson, 28, and Paige W. Sward, 23, both of Lewistown. According to the report, while the officers were en route, it had been determined that Robinson and Sward had also caused a similar disturbance at the McDonald's in Granville Township approximately 30 minutes prior to police arriving at that location. Police said both were found to be highly intoxicated and discovered that part of their disturbance included lewd acts with each other that alarmed other patrons. Robinson was taken into custody with difficulty and police said that after Robinson was placed in the police vehicle, he began to kick at the interior of the cruiser, destroying the plexiglas partition. Police said he was Tasered after repeatedly refusing to comply with police instructions. Robinson was incarcerated under a probation detainer while charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, DUI with a suspended license, terroristic threats and other related charges are filed against him through District Judge Aaron L. Gingrich's office. According to the report, Sward was taken into custody without incident and was also taken to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility. Police said that at MCCF it was found that she had concealed a syringe and a needle in her bra. Charges against Sward were filed through District Judge Jack E. Miller's office.
