07 - 01 - 2013 Man convicted of owning child porn pleads for leniency
MIFFLINTOWN - A man convicted of possessing over two dozen images of child pornography begged a judge on Friday to be lenient in sentencing him. George Reynolds, 58, was convicted of the above charges following a two day jury trial in March, however he was acquitted of Aggravated Indecent Assault and Indecent Assault charges pertaining to two alleged victims, a now-14-year-old female and a now-13-year-old male. Judge Kenneth A. Mummah sentenced Reynolds to serve a minimum of 25 months and a maximum of 8 years and 4 months at a state correctional facility. Mummah also instructed Reynolds that he will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The state Sexual Offenders Assessment Board found that Reynolds is not a sexually violent predator.
