MIDDLECREEK - No injuries were reported after a school bus carrying 10 children was struck by another vehicle Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove said. Police said the school bus driven by Terry Lee Gilbert, 48, of Middleburg, was stopped at the intersection of Smalsh Barricks and East Hollow roads in Middlecreek Township carrying 10 children at 6:53 a.m. According to the report, when the bus was pulling out of the intersection, it was struck in the front driver's side bumper by a Chrysler driven by Brian Lee Bertram, 45, of Lewisburg. Police said the vehicle driven by Bertram attempted to slow down as it approached the intersection and it skidded into the northbound lane before it struck the school bus. Police said passengers were not injured and the passengers were then transported on another bus to school. According to the report, evidence on scene was consistent with Bertram traveling at an unsafe speed and he will be cited for the incident.
