04 - 08 - 2013 Snyder Co. farm shed catches fire from burning trash
RICHFIELD â Burning garbage caught a 20- by 30-foot shed on fire on a West Perry Township, Snyder County, farm on Sunday. The shed, on property at 2335 Middle Road, was used as a loafing area for the horses of owner Jed Frymoyer, who was disposing of the garbage at about 9:10 pm when the fire started. No horses were in the shed at the time, according to Dale Maneval, chief of the Richfield Fire Company. Maneval said the shed contained little besides hay. Firefighters had the blaze under control by about 9:45 pm Maneval estimated the loss at about $2,000.
