05 - 24 - 2012 Snyder Co. killer avoids double-dip prison term
(DI) Kathleen Day has killed a man, committed welfare fraud & was caught drunk driving after her other 2 convictions. Snyder Co. DA Mike Piecuch argued that Dayâs most recent arrest, coupled with her prior record, suggests the judicial system should take another look at whether probation in the fraud case is sufficient. Senior Judge Harold Woelfel Jr. disagreed & denied a motion yesterday to revoke the probation of the 43-y/o Middleburg woman convicted of drunken driving while she was free on parole for the September '08 fatal shooting of a 23-y/o man.
